Ryan graduated from Liverpool Hope University in Media TV Production. He excelled in the Korean Martial Art KUK-SOOL-WON, and won his first Gold Medal in 2002. Ryan began integrating Jackie-Chan-like action into his media work, appearing as a supporting artist for many years in the UK Television series Hollyoaks, he stepped into acting whilst at university and furthered his training at Magul Theatre School.

 

Ryan took a path of adding action to media, developing the concept and starring in "MTVs Ultimate Parkour Challenge" His love to perform took him to competitions. He defended his tricking title 4X, and became 2X World Freerunning Champion at the Red Bull Art of Motion 2007/2011.

 

For 8 years Ryan has travelled the world as a Red Bull Athlete, on action media projects that push the human body to its limits. He appeared on NatGeo’s Fight Science, the Late Night Show with Jimmy Fallon, doubled for Ellen Degeneres and won “Best International Series” at the YouTube Streamy Awards 2013, with the online viral series “Travel Story”

 

Ryan teamed up with members of the Liverpool community to open the UKs biggest Urban Sports Academy. Airborn Academy is pioneering the New-Age training facilities that are emerging all over the world.  

 

Ryan was cast as the evil character Finch in Freerunner (2011) and had major-input to the action choreography of the feature.

 

Ryan plays Voltair in the up-coming Action-Sci fi feature “DXM” (2016) Directed by Andrew Goth.

 

Other screen credits include What Drives The Worlds' Top Athletes (2015), Football Freestyler 2 (2015), Football Freestyler (2012), Travel Story (2012), MTVs Ultimate Parkour Challenge (2009 - 2010), Sacrifice (2006).

 

Ryan paved the way as the worlds' leading parkour and freerunner athlete that to date has seen him involved in world competitions, choreographing stunt and fight scenes for the television and film industry and taking on major roles in film. His YouTube channel features a multi-tude of tutorial videos and is an international success.
